Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Re-Launch

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated income inequalities across the city, particularly amongst vulnerable communities and people working frontline, essential jobs. As the economy regains momentum, it is essential that we prioritize small businesses, low-income neighbourhoods, and frontline workers. The economic re-launch must also be green and sustainable. To do so, we must reallocate funds to assist the transition to a green economy that supports the development and growth of green businesses. To spur this change, our platform proposes the creation of specialized economic zones with tax benefits for green business owners who establish roots and hire locals living in Montreal’s low-income neighbourhoods.
